A room for London

What is A Room for London?

High up on the roof of Queen Elizabeth Hall, a riverboat appears to have come to rest…

A Room for London is a one-bedroom installation, available to rent by the public for night-long stays throughout 2012. During the year it will also transmit a programme of writing, performance and music.

Leading writers, musicians and artists from around the world will converge on the Thames in 2012

A Room for London will welcome to London leading artists of all disciplines for an extraordinary year of new writings, readings, postings, podcasts and live music webcasts from the capital’s most intimate temporary venue. From Bogotá to Toronto, Bamako to Frankfurt, New York to Stockholm, these world-renowned voices will use the Room as their studio to reflect on the city’s place in the world in 2012.
